Total eclipse of the Moon
January 9, 2001

On January 9th the first total eclipse of the Moon of the third millennium will be visible from Reunion Island. Here the mid-totality (20h20 UT) will occur close to the Moon transit (20h26 UT).
The ARECA (Association Reunionnaise pour l'Etude du Ciel Austral) will try to make you enjoy it by sending live images on this page.
The images will be available from 18:40 UT to 22h00 UT if the sky is clear (tropical storm ANDO made a close approach 3 days ago...).
