NGC 6611 - M 16 - Eagle Nebula - Nébuleuse de l'Aigle
The Eagle nebula, situated in Serpens, is distant of about 7000 light years. The red color is due to the hydrogen gas, ionized by the surrounding stars. A very nice object to image !
La nébuleuse de l'Aigle, dans la constellation du Serpent, se situe à environ 7000 années lumière de nous ; sa couleur rouge est dûe à l'hydrogène gazeux ionisé par les étoiles environnantes. Une visite incontournable pour tout amateur !
